Rubber Suspension Units
- Multifunctional Modules for the Machine Industries
- Offers guiding, tensioning, absorbing properties
- Ten types of suspension unit to chose from
- Endless applications
Lovejoy ROSTA offers a complete line of multi-purpose elastomeric elements that can solve most types of tensioning, suspension, and vibration absorption problems in all fields of mechanical engineering.
All Lovejoy ROSTA products are based upon the ROSTA Principle: four elastomeric elements are inside the base of each and every tensioner, suspension unit, oscillating unit, and anti-vibration damper. The elements transmit the oscillations of a system, while simultaneously dampening vibration, shock, and noise.

Type DR-S (Rubber Suspension Unit)
- Steel construction - inter and outer square sections
- Hollow inner square – for mounting “plug-in” lever arms (either or both sides)
- Inserted part should be at least three times longer than the clearance “C”
- Both ways of fixation are equally well suited for motion
- All metal parts are paint-finished
Type DR-A (Rubber Suspension Unit)
- Steel construction - outer square section
- Light alloy – inner square with two or four small bores
- Levers can be mounted on one or both sides
- Specifically designed for transmitting alternating motions by passing the neutral
axis in either direction
Type DR-C (Rubber Suspension Unit)
- Steel construction - outer square section
- Light alloy – inner square with one big through bore
- Levers can be mounted on one or both sides
- Frictional force of this type assures safe fixation on the lever arms in any position
Type DK-S (Rubber Suspension Unit)
- Light alloy - outer round housing
- Steel construction – inner square
- Levers can be mounted on one or both sides
- Specifically designed for angular motions at the plus or minus range
Type DK-A (Rubber Suspension Unit)
- Light alloy – outer and inner square with two or four small bores
- Levers can be bolted on, or tapped if necessary
- Provides excellent connection without play
- All metal parts are paint-finished
Type DK-A (Rubber Suspension Unit)
- Outer square sections – light alloy (up to size 45), or spheroidal graphite cast
iron Inner square – steel
- “Plug-in” lever arms can be attached on one or both sides
- Inserted length clearance should be at least 3 times longer than the clearance “C”
- All metal parts are paint-finished
Type DO-A (Rubber Suspension Unit)
- Outer square sections – light alloy (up to size 45) or spheroidal graphite cast
iron
- Inner square – light alloy with 4 bores
- Levers can be attached on one or both sides
- Provides excellent attachment without play
Type DW-A 15-38 (Rubber Suspension Unit)
- Light alloy – outer housing and inner element with two or four bore holes
- Equipped with lateral fixation flanges, including required fixation bores
- Especially constructed for transmitting alternating motions by passing the neutral
axis in either direction
- All elements are unpainted
Type DW-A 45-100 (Rubber Suspension Unit)
- Size 45 & 50 – Spheroidal graphite cast iron outer housing, light alloy inner element
- Size 60 & up – Welded steel outer housing, steel square inner elements
- Includes four threaded bores on each side for easy fixation of levers and machines
- All metal elements are paint finished
Type DW-C 15-38 (Rubber Suspension Unit)
- Light alloy – outer housing and inner element with large central bore hole
- Equipped with lateral fixation flanges, including required fixation bores
- Frictional force of this type assures safe fixation on the lever arms in any position
- All elements are unpainted
Clamp Type BR (Accessory)
- Clamps are supplied separately without bolts
- Standardized to fix exactly for types DR-S, DR-A, and DR-C without welding
- For longer units, two or more clamps are recommended
- Clamps are paint finished
Clamp Type BK (Accessory)
- Clamps are supplied separately without bolts
- Standardized to fix exactly for types DK-S and DK-A by frictional forces
- For longer units, two or more clamps are recommended
- Clamps are paint finished
Bracket Type WS (Accessory)
- Multi-purpose bracket makes any easy screw connection possible on inner squares
for DR-A, DK-A, and DO-A (as well as a housing fixation of the tensioner devices
type SE)
- Base of the angle section can be positioned in both directions
- Offers, together with different clamps, many combinations of element assembling
- Brackets are paint finished
